Cosmopolitan Magazine's January 2012 issue features a wonderful spread of images taken by Boothnation at the Ultimate Woman Awards at the Banqueting Hall in Whitehall. Movember, discoballs and snowballs

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. The Movember Gala parties, held at the end of November, are simply hilarious, thousands of hairy upper lips dancing the night away. Boothnation has been part of the celebration for the last three years, capturing thousands of magnificent mo's. This year we will be at Battersea Evolution in London and the Electric Circus in Edinburgh. If you are wondering who that chap in the photos is we can reveal it's Mike O'Brien, our dashing operations manager and self confessed geek. He is posing and raising valuable funds for Movember in our brand new 'Discobooth' and the ever popular 'Snowbooth'. Thanks Mike. Now, please shave!

Coach Party

Fashion Fois Gras, home to everything newsworthy in the fashion world, have teamed up with Coach to launch what must be a world's first; the bloggers tote, a luxury bag designed with the discerning blogger in mind. Stephen Kenny's Art Booth

Stephen Kenny's lovingly crafted letterpress prints were the catalyst for a lively few days at The Affordable Art Fair in Hampstead where all comers interacted with the art. Stephen is with Islington's renowned fine art gallery Tag Fine Arts on whose stand all the fun happened. All the images can be seen on Tag's Facebook page. Enjoy.

Chanel Allure

Chanel's launch of it's Rouge Allure Velvet range of matt lipsticks called for some innovation from Boothnation. We designed a chic black booth with matt panels and produced matt prints to mirror the brand. Customers enjoyed our booths in Selfridges, Westfield and Harvey Nichols.

Vogue Fashion Night Out just gets better and better. Our Warhol inspired Pop Art Photobooth glittered all night amongst the diamonds in Tiffany's flagship Old Bond Street store. Boothnation and Pop Up Shoots have so wildly busy there has been little time for the blog. Here's a fleeting catch up on some of the fun we've been having.

Hard Rock Calling's 40th Birthday bash in Hyde Park in late June was brought to a close by headline act Rod Stewart who wowed the crowds with all his classic songs. Other acts on stage included The Killers and Bon Jovi. Boothnation had a busy time backstage entertaining those lucky enough to get passes.

Karl Largerfield's creative prowess is beyond question. To help with the launch of his limited edition Coca Cola bottle designs Boothnation’s branded Photostream with candy-striped prints launched the product to thirst quenched crowds in Manchester’s Harvey Nichols store.

Two wonderful retail promotions for our much loved clients Gap in our fully branded giant booths this Summer. The first was the Gap Summer Suitcase which heralded the start of the sunny season in their Oxford Street flagship store. The 1969 shoots, which took place in Gap stores in Paris and Milan, seamlessly involved customers in Gap's current campaign using all sorts of photo trickery.

Viva Model Agency London Launch

VIVA London, sister agency to the well established VIVA Paris, had it's launch in Shoreditch last night. Photographer Scott Trindle exhibited his 'Untouched' shots of, among others, Natalia Vodianova, Raquel Zimmermann and Edie Campbell in a packed party at Rochelle School. Boothnation created a special 'model card' photobooth to capture all the pouts and poses.

Customers are invited to have a mini makeover before trying one of the 18 new shades of lipstick and recording the moment forever in our special Chanel booth. Madonna, Miu Miu and Boothnation.....

Along with models Ginta Lapina, Lindsey Wixson, Siri Tollerod and Daphne Groeneveld, Boothnation played a starring role in Madonna's directorial debut for the Miu Miu Winter ad campaign. According to legend Madonna had stopped by the set to meet photographers Mert Atlas and Marcus Pigott for dinner, and, as model Ginta recalls, "We were supposed to shoot a video, so Madonna said she wanted to direct it. They said she could do it but they weren't going to pay her and she started laughing. She put on her iPod and taught us moves and we shot the video for two hours."

We had a busy night entertaining the spirited winners (mostly 'The Kings Speech") and near winners of the coveted awards. KISS IT BETTER is a wonderful initiative which raises funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital's research into the causes of childhood cancer. In their fourth year of partnering Clinique created a special New Limited Edition Smoothie Kisses Lip Gloss Set to be sold exclusively at House of Fraser. £4s from each set is donated to Kiss It Better. In our 'Kiss It Better' photobooth guests showed their support by blowing a kiss. XXX

Boothnation enjoyed a fun and elegant soiree hosted by Dita Von Teese at the launch of My Private Cointreau Coffret in Selfridges Personal Shopping this week. At the event, organised by Inca Productions, Boothnation created a pop up shoot in the Cointreau set for all the guests to enjoy. Instant colour accented and branded black and white photographs were presented to all those who took part. An evening to remember.

Another first for Boothnation! The Pop Art Photobooth may well be the coolest photobooth ever. This clever box of tricks instantly turns everyone into an icon. With a respectful nod to Mr Warhol the Pop Art Photobooth emulates the silk screen process creating colourful and graphic representations of one and all in seventeen seconds. The booth was wildly popular on it's first outing at a Dom Perignon
evening in the chic Movida club in London's Argyll Street. The 'oh so cool' dude in this picture is the aptly named Dom. Nice try Dom.

The Gap Denim Booths on tour

Boothnation developed a new concept in automated photography for the Gap 1969 in-store promotion which ran throughout September in London, Dublin, Edinburgh and Paris. The 'Fashionmatic', allows customers to enjoy their own full length fashion shoot at the touch of button. The images then appear on a branded touchscreen where they can be cropped, printed and emailed. The promotion was a big hit with the public both in the UK and abroad. The tour continues next week in universities throughout the UK.

75,000 Rough Moments

Boothnation's permanent photobooth in uber cool Rough Trade East has become something of an institution in this trendy part of London. Visitors pay £3 for a session in the booth. Beauty lighting and Rough Trade branding combine to create great memories of this unique store. For no particular reason we recently counted up all the images that have been taken in the booth since we installed it in March 2009. The figure, we were amazed to discover, is in excess of 75,000 shots. 100,000 must be the next benchmark. If you happen to be in the area............

Emeco Navy 111 launch at Conran

Boothnation director Seamus Ryan took his Sunday Shoots concept to Conran last week to help launch the Navy 111, a modern take on Emeco's classic chair. This version is made from 111 recycled Coca Cola bottles and comes in six fetching colours. The shoot was a multi media affair involving a rotating set, three stills and one video camera. Guests at the event entered into the spirit of the shoot with alarming enthusiasm, a fun night for all. Production on a short film of the event has begun. Watch this space for updates. Swisssh at Clothes Show London

The Booth That Rocked (the Empire)

Coming just after the Oscars and the Baftas (which also featured Boothnation) the Jameson Empire Film Awards are widely regarded by film buffs to be the movie award ceremony of choice. Empire Magazine asked Boothnation to add an element of fun in the VIP area using our retro futuristic Photostream booth. Stars including Sir Ian McKellen, Jude Law, Stephen Merchant and Simon Pegg showed their creativity in a great series of images. A star studded gathering attended the BAFTA's 2010 Awards after party in Grosvenor House. Boothnation had a busy night entertaining the spirited winners and near winners of the coveted awards. Octopus found in our booth

The inspired creatives at Rubbaglove called on Boothnation to help with staff imagery for their wonderfully designed new website for clients Octopus Communications. The booth produced hundreds of warm, witty and engaging portraits of all the team. Rubbaglove then created a series of still and animated pages on the site which perfectly reflects the team spirit and fresh thinking pr group. The Unicef Shoot

Boothnation were called upon by photographer Alistair Morrison to help him recreate his 'Time To Reflect' UNICEF project. The original shoot , completed in 2000, invited a host of stars to take their pictures in a booth and write an inspirational message. Ten years on Alistair has asked many of the same people back as well as glittering selection of new faces. So far, the project has raised £350,000 for Unicef. Among the many faces to grace our booths in the Dorchester and Mandarin Hotels were Dame Judy Dench, Penelope Cruz, Roger Moore, Julie Walters, Danial Day Lewis, Fredrick Forsyth, Jonathon Pryce, Mark Foster and Rufus Sewell.

The Bobbi Brown Tour

Beauty abounds throughout this sceptred isle. Boothnation has just finished a two week UK tour with two fully branded booths for our gifted clients Bobbi Brown. The journey took us to Selfridges in London and Manchester , House of Fraser at Bluewater , Westfield and Nottingham, Jenners in Edinburgh, Frasers in Glasgow and Harrods. Each of our booths had a separate workstation where large versions of selected booth shots were further retouched and printed by our skilled boothistas.. Final prints were presented to clients in tastefully branded Bobbi Brown folders. The skilled make up artists at Bobbi Brown combined with Boothnation's beauty lighting produced hundreds of wonderful portraits. Proof positive that regardless of who is in government, beauty still reigns.

Remember the snood? No! Well a snood, in layman's terms, is basically a scarf with the ends sown together. It would appear that there is no end to what you can do with one. Net-A-Porter chose Boothnation for it's recent winter fashion shoot featuring all the very best of snoods this season. Shot in Seamus's relaxed East London studio, a fun and creative day was had by all. The selected images appeared in Net-A-Porter's printed and online magazine in December. Boothnation's beauty lighting came into its own for this fun fashion beauty shoot for the Sunday Times Style Magazine. The four page spread featured expert tips on the perfect party look for the festive season.

Five stunning Storm models (Hattie, Wanessa, Melissa, Phoebe and Shea) were styled by the wonderful Sharon Ridoynauth with hair by Lydell Mansfield and make up deftly applied by Andrew Gallimore. The models and crew had a great day creating a huge range of images in one of our Glitterbooths. Ok, let's party!

Fashionair.com launch at Selfridges

Fashionair.com, the essential new online fashion resource, called on Boothnation to be part of their stunning three week brand launch at Selfridges. FASHIONAIR is the brainchild of Simon Fuller and fashion entrepreneur Sojin Lee. Our brief was to create a combined photo and video booth - a first for us. The fully branded booth, prominently positioned by the store’s Duke Street entrance, was then used to record people’s fashion ideas and on selected dates to audition new presenters for FASHIONAIR. The Photostream lands at the V Festival

Returning to the Louder Lounge at the V Festival in Chelmsford for a second year was a joy for Boothnation. Despite the no-show from Oasis, the festival was a huge hit with music lovers.

The Louder Lounge, which is sponsored by Virgin Media, is situated in the exclusive backstage area and is used by the great and the good as a chill-out zone.

Among the many famous faces to grace the booth were Pixie Lott and the legendary Proclaimers who entertained everyone with an impromptu set!

The glittering House of Lords

Boothnation is no stranger to prestigious locations, but spending the evening in the House of Lords was really very special.

The reason for the event was to present the new advertising campaign for the RNIB to the board of Governors chaired by Duncan Bannatyne.

The nationwide print and online campaign was photographed by Boothnation's director Seamus Ryan and is a call to everyone to imagine what life is like for those who lose their sight and in turn to lend their support.

Boothnation received a wonderful testimonial in the Evening Standard this week from vivacious author and journalist Sarah Standing. Sarah, wife of actor Sir John Standing and sister to Emma Forbes celebrated her 50th birthday (she really doesn't look it) recently at home with friends and family. A wonderful night was had by all. Boothnation was delighted to record the evening for posterity. Many thanks to Emma for having us along.

A booth is born!

Drawing inspiration from disparate sources like the moon landing, The Jetsons and the "Airstream" caravan, Seamus has developed what must rank as the world's most extraordinary photobooth.

The Photostream (or Buzz, as we affectionately call it) is a celebration of the retro-future design concepts of the 1950's. Working alongside the skilled team at ace model makers Applied Arts, Boothnation has created a booth that boldly goes where no booth has gone before. The exterior is an engineering feat of compound curves, aluminium and rivets. The interior continues the 50's vision of the future with moulded tv screens and space age surfaces.

Boothnation’s signature beauty lighting, wind machine and rapid printing technology ensure that the Photostream is truly out of this world.

The Photostream had it’s first outing at an aptly arty evening for Outset, a philanthropic organisation dedicated to supporting new art. The event was held at the wonderfully off-beat Double Club in Islington and was hosted with style by Candida Gertler.

Bobbi Brown at Selfridges

Boothnation returned to Selfridges on the 13th/14th March, this time to the delectable Bobbi Brown studio in the Beauty Hall.

Bobbi Brown customers chose their favourite makeup look direct from the Runways at Fashion Week. Following their personalised makeup lesson, the freshly made up beauties stepped into the photo booth and posed for 4 shots.

They then chose their favourite image which we printed up into a gorgeous beauty portrait, branded 'Look like yourself at your most beautiful - Bobbi Brown'. Customers were absolutely delighted!

Diamond in the Rough

Rough Trade East, situated in the heart of London's coolest quarter, Brick Lane, is now home to a permanent Boothnation photobooth. The store, recently named as one of the top 20 retailers in the world by Tyler Brûlé's Monacle Magazine, is cherished by musicians and fans alike as the ultimate record store.

Boothnation's brief was to create a photobooth that would enhance the store's already unique visitor experience and provide a lasting visual record of the many celebrated artists and customers who frequent the store.

Since the booth installation in May, thousands of images have been taken. A 'Wall of Fame' is well underway around the booth displaying hundreds of the shots taken.

Fine art versions of many of the band shots will soon be available in store. Recent acts to grace the booth include Blur, Jarvis Cocker and Marianne Faithful.

30 years in great Company

Boothnation had a great night helping Company Magazine celebrate their 30th birthday in Camden's Proud Gallery. Here are some nice words from the magazine:

"We Laughed About: The hilarious pictures we had taken in Company’s very own photo booth, provided by Boothnation. Guests queued around the dance floor for the chance to pile inside and get snapped. And the best bit? Its beauty lighting made everyone look like a model! Bloody good job, considering the booth was connected to a plasma screen –meaning the whole party could sneak a peak at your snaps!"

Celeb’s in the booth included Hollyoaks’ Claire Cooper, Ex-Blue Peter presenters Zoe Salmon and Konnie Huq, Big Brother’s twins Sam and Amanda and Holby City’s Luke Roberts.

Glitterbooth at 'Tache Bash'

At the start of Movember, guys (aka Mo Bros) register with a clean shaven face and then have the rest of the month to grow and groom their 'tache and raise money for men's health charities along the way.

The end of Movember sees the Movember Gala Parté, this year held at the Room by the River on the Southbank. A celebration of the hirsute male, the party saw approx 1400 suitably costumed and moustachioed Mo bros along with the Mo Sistas party until the early hours. Boothnation has never seen so many Tom Selleck, Ian Bothams and Zorros in one room!

With two booths running non stop and the images being projected live onto a huge 30 foot screen we were pleased to capture and preserve the memories of this glorious month long crusade for the upper lip.

Boothnation Rocks Out at the V Festival

Boothnation enjoyed a fabulous festival weekend with VIP guests and celebrities at the Virgin Mobile Louder Lounge, 16-17th August. A box of fancy dress and our gorgeous glitter booth proved too tempting for even the most cool-conscious reveller and the booth was mobbed throughout its 11 hour shoot days. Gail Porter,Holly Willoughby, Coleen McLoughlin (Rooney), Denise van Outen and Sophie Ellis Bextor were just some of the fabulous celebs photographed hamming it up in the booth. As the sun went down, the Boothnation projection slideshow went up, projecting the booth images onto the tepee roof for all to enjoy.

The Virgin Mobile Louder Lounge was styled by the incredibly talented team at Itch, a fantastic beach-hut theme complete with palm trees, hammocks and deck chairs. A special thank you to our wonderful Louder Lounge Angel, Nick, who assisted us throughout the long days at the festival.

Carr Alarm!

National treasure Alan Carr is a man of many faces – pouty, endearing, silly, vulnerable, cheeky, sweet etc - all used to great comedic effect. So when Marie Claire needed a suitably interesting photo spread to accompany their Janet Street-Porter interview, they enlisted Boothnation to the cause.

As endearing in person as he is on the telly, Alan had us in fits of laughter as he posed and preened in the booth. Being such a ball of energy, the booth was the perfect capsule to contain and capture him in action. Over 100 shots and he was still pulling new expressions out of the bag!

The Marie Claire team loved the booth so much they booked us for their 20th Birthday party at One Marlyebone Road. A whole host of stars turned up to the event, including the likes of Mischa Barton, Roisin Murphy and Janet Street Porter. Rhys Ifan’s band The Peth played and the Glitter booth wowed the glam crowd with gorgeous black and white portraits and a live projection of the booth images.

Back to Ours is a night of joy and lunacy at the exclusive Hospital Club in Covent Garden. Held monthly, its young, artistic club members gather together to drink, dance and be creative together. Boothnation was delighted to join in the fun.

The much anticipated smash hit Mamma Mia! The Movie (Universal Pictures) held their London press junket at the regal Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Knightsbridge. All the stars were out and we were delighted to invite the fabulous Pierce Brosnan, Meryl Streep,Amanda Seyfried and Stellan Skarsgård into our sparkling Greek island-themed booth.
